The original company was founded over 150 years ago by Richard Baxendale in the Preston area, where it is still a major employer, with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Today, BDR Thermea includes a portfolio of some of the best known and most respected brands in the heating industry:
Baxi, Potterton, Main, Heatrae Sadia, Valor, Andrews Water Heaters, Santon, Potterton Commercial, Elson, Baxi-SenerTec UK.
BDR Thermea has invested heavily in research and development to produce smarter, more energy efficient heating systems. This includes a comprehensive range of boilers and a market-leading portfolio of low carbon products, including solar, heat pumps, biomass and micro-CHP.
Our mission is to deliver best value through reliable, energy efficient products, and high quality service and technical support while promoting environmental, social and economic sustainability.
In doing so, we can help our partners to achieve the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes and assist in meeting the Government's targets for reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
